Meteorological & Pollution Modeling

This module focuses on acquiring, processing, and plotting time series data for key environmental indicators and pollutants over regions of interest. Trainees will also learn to compare and select the most effective datasets for their particular case studies. Lessons include:

• Mapping and charting land surface temperature, sea surface temperature, and precipitation data over various time intervals

• Evaluating drought severity over regions of interest over acute and chronic periods of stress

• Selecting appropriate pollutant datasets to track sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, and PM2.5, as well as uploading localized datasets
